Your programme will involve a range of teacher training placements where you will learn first-hand the skills needed to teach in a classroom setting. This practical experience is vital for all students, and you will be given opportunities to refine and enhance your teaching style in a range of environments.

Some of your modules will be placement-based, with assessments taking place whilst you’re there. As part of the course, you will also be expected to attend a two-day conference at the University of Huddersfield.

Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.

For your course, you will need:

  • A tablet, laptop or stationery to take notes in lectures and seminars
  • USB stick and / or portable hard drive.
