The BSc Sport, Health and Exercise Science programmes is designed to produce knowledgeable and vocationally capable graduates using both practical and academic settings. As a sport student you will be encouraged to participate in vocationally relevant experiences to improve employability and sector-specific skills.

Our sport programmes aim to develop your chances of employment through the opportunities you will have, for example, through involvement in community sports development and coaching.

We also provide up to seven internships each year with the college's academy programmes. Information about these internships will be provided to you during your induction week.

Before you begin your course, you’ll need to make sure you’re prepared with the right equipment. Many of our courses need specialist health and safety clothing, but we’ve made it simple - some of your essentials and college branded clothing can be bought from our online shop.

For your course, you will need:

  • A tablet, laptop or stationery to take notes in lectures and seminars
  • USB stick and / or portable hard drive
  • Appropriate sports kit for practical activities
  • It is suggested that all students apply for an advanced DBS (roughly £44) for course and work-related activities as you may be working with young people as part of your programme.
